there are always questions

Crossing the Border

All U.S. citizens (adults and children) traveling between the United States and Canada by land or air are required to present a valid passport or other documents as determined by the Department of Homeland Security. Bring your passport and another form of ID just in case. Citizens of other countries may require a visitor visa.

Children may require a birth certificate, and/or written permission if traveling without their legal guardian.

If you have a felony or misdemeanor conviction (such as a DWI/DUI), you must contact a Canadian Consulate in the U.S. at least one year prior to your trip.

For information, please contact Citizenship and Immigration:

From the US: (807) 274-9780

From Canada: 1-888-242-2100

Internationally: 1-800-992-7037

Or visit www.cic.gc.ca.

Gratuity

Our staff works very hard to give you the best experience possible. Tipping is discretionary, but here are some guidelines and suggestions. Guides: $60-80 per day/per person. Dining Room/Housekeeping (covers kitchen staff, chefs, dock help,

and laundry): $30-35 per day/per person. It is suggested that all tips be in cash and given directly to our staff.

Alcohol Policy

Guests can plan to bring their own alcohol.  If it’s easier for you, we can purchase beer and liquor for you and have it waiting in your cabin. Please let us know at least one week in advance and we will add the cost to your total bill.

Please be aware of Canadian duty policies related to bringing alcohol and tobacco across the border. Here are the duty limits. Anything more will be subject to paying duty.

  • Alcohol -- (Up to 40 oz. of liquor, 1.5 liters of wine, or 24 12-ounce bottles/cans of beer may be brought into Canada duty free)

  • Tobacco -- (Up to 1 carton of cigarettes, 50 cigars, or (1) 200-gram can of tobacco may be brought into Canada duty free)

What to bring

  • Rain gear

  • Weather appropriate clothing and shoes (check the weather in Perallut Falls a few days before your arrival)
